Ingredients:
CALCIUM: carbonate, 244 mg Alkalizing Neutralizes gastric acidity
LICORICE: root, dry extract titrated to 19% glycyrrhetinic acid, 120 mg: Although its therapeutic efficacy has been demonstrated, the mechanism of action has not yet been fully elucidated;
both glycyrrhizin or glycyrrhizic acid and flavonoids contribute to this effect. Similarly, caffeic acid derivatives, which are potent elastase inhibitors, appear to be involved in this activity. An increase in gastric mucus secretion and viscosity has also been proposed as a mechanism of action. Furthermore, both aqueous extracts and polysaccharides isolated from licorice root inhibit the adhesion of Helicobacter pylori, one of the main causes of gastric ulcers, to the stomach lining.
PAPAYA; freeze-dried fruit 16.5 mg Useful in dyspeptic disorders, it aids digestion and reduces the feeling of bloating. It also provides pectins, which together with apple pectin form a gel that protects the gastric mucosa.
